Treatment Options
When clients enter our clinical community, they are welcomed into a trauma-informed culture that serves as the cornerstone of their recovery journey. This environment fosters collaborative relationships, empowering clients to feel seen, heard, and valued. We emphasize the significance of examining current mindsets and challenge established beliefs that may hinder progress, paving the way for clients to reconnect with their authentic selves. At Wayfinder, we are dedicated to guiding individuals through their unique journeys of healing and wholeness, with a steadfast commitment to providing the highest quality care.
Partial Hospitalization Program
Our highest level of care recommended for clients returning from 24-hour residential treatment and/or detoxification programs. This program runs concurrently with IOP and has unique additional programming after a lunch break.
Intensive Outpatient Program
Our three- to six-month intensive option which includes assessment, individual and group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and family services.
Medication Assisted Treatment
Medication can be a valuable part of a comprehensive plan to achieve and sustain recovery. We offer medication services as adjuncts to our other therapeutic services.
Individual Outpatient Therapy
Our clinical individual therapists typically work in conjunction with the PHP/IOP programs to provide tailored, one-on-one treatment for clients in need.
Group and Creative Therapies
Group sessions offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, psychoeducation and skill-building tailored to real-world application. Expressive arts and creative therapy sessions are designed to promote self-expression and emotional healing.
Case Management
Each client will work with their primary therapist and case manager to develop goal-oriented plans, connect with community resources, and receive assistance with employment, housing, and aftercare planning.
Family Support Services
Substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders cause stress, confusion, and disruption for families. We specifically address these issues via an array of services designed to meet the needs of clients and their families.
PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers a higher level of care for those needing substantial support to stabilize their recovery without requiring inpatient treatment. Running five days a week for 5–6 hours per day, PHP integrates daily group counseling, individual therapy, medical monitoring, and family services to address the full spectrum of recovery needs. In tandem with our MAT program, PHP provides seamless coordination between therapeutic and medical services, ensuring clients receive comprehensive, individualized care as they build a strong foundation for long-term healing
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM
Our Intensive Outpatient Program provides a highly structured yet flexible approach to recovery, designed to fit into your life while offering comprehensive support. Clients attend treatment three to five days per week for 3–4 hours daily, engaging in a blend of individual therapy, group sessions, psychoeducation, and skill-building workshops. With rolling admissions and a recommended duration of at least 12 weeks, the IOP fosters connection, resilience, and sustainable progress on your journey to wellness.
MEDICATION ASSISTED THERAPY
At Wayfinder Behavioral Health, we provide comprehensive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) using FDA-approved medications for opioid, alcohol, and nicotine use disorders, including Suboxone, Naltrexone, and Vivitrol. Every client undergoes a thorough medical evaluation and routine assessments before starting treatment. Our services include overdose prevention education, harm-reduction strategies, and regular check-ins with our prescribing provider to monitor medication effectiveness and recovery progress. Alongside MAT, clients engage in substance use-focused therapy with licensed clinicians, emphasizing relapse prevention, recovery maintenance, and healthy coping strategies.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Licensed and Master’s level clinicians will provide one-on-one sessions focusing on personalized treatment goals, trauma resolution, and relapse prevention strategies. Therapy modalities may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Prospective clients who are stable and not seeking IOP or PHP programming may admit to Wayfinder for individual therapy services. Additionally, clients who successfully complete IOP programming may continue individual therapy as part of their continuing care.
GROUP AND CREATIVE THERAPIES
Group sessions will offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for addressing maladaptive thought patterns. Mindfulness practices such as guided meditation and yoga are utilized to foster emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and stress reduction. Expressive arts and creative therapy sessions promote self-expression and emotional healing; and include art, music, writing, drama, movement, and more. Psychoeducation and skill-building are tailored to real-world application and aid in the development of applied knowledge.
CASE MANAGEMENT
Each client will work with their primary therapist and case manager to develop goal-oriented plans, connect with community resources, and receive assistance with employment, housing, and aftercare planning. The entire Wayfinder clinical team works together to ensure the needs of each client are met. The entire multidisciplinary team meets weekly to discuss each active client in detail, including treatment goals, discharge planning, and case management considerations.
FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES
Our Family Support Services are designed to foster recovery within the family unit, addressing the systemic nature of addiction and its impact on loved ones. Offered monthly, this program includes educational workshops and family counseling sessions grounded in evidence-based practices like family systems therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches. These sessions provide the framework to rebuild trust, improve communication, and discover heartfelt understanding. By honoring the unique dynamics of each family, Wayfinder empowers loved ones with tools to become active participants in the recovery journey. We are committed to dismantling the constructs that perpetuate disconnection and guiding families to navigate matters of the heart with grace, authenticity, and compassion.
